Shelly Fredenberg - Flutter Form

This beautiful stoneware vessel was made by ceramicist and sculptor Shelly Fredenberg of Eugene, Ore. Shelly's work is a tribute to the natural world, its processes and possibilities, as well as its impossibilities.

This piece was hand-built and displays a satin glaze and oxide exterior and a layered oxide and glossy glaze interior. It was created from a single piece of clay: Shelly pressed her thumb into the center of the ball, and then slowly worked outward, forming the swirling ridges.

Dimensions: W 9" x H 6.5" (Measurements are approximate and taken at the widest points).
