Nat Stein - Maple Bowl

12"x4" maple bowl.

This piece of wood came from an usual growth, where a void left by a dead branch had been entirely encapsualted in a large burl. Inside the void, growing int he dark, was another smaller and more highly figured burl. This bowl was turned green and is slightly eccentric due to the drying process. Tung oil finish. This bowl is theoretically functional as a salad or serving bowl.
