Shelly Fredenberg - Envelop Vessel

This beautiful sculptural vessel was made by ceramicist Shelly Fredenberg of Eugene, Ore. It is hand-built from semi-porcelaneous stoneware.

From the artist: "This piece is about the vulnerable places we protect, that we hide inside. The outer texture is achieved by pressing small stones, one at a time, into the wet clay. The inner texture is a glaze that is formulated to crack and crawl."
