Nick Sawyer - Walnut Table

The top is a mosaic of shop-sawn and hand-matched black walnut in a sunburst pattern. The base was inspired by the network of support structures that anchor and provide for a tree — Roots — a full-circle nod to the life cycle of the tree and boards used  to build this table. The roots were bent-laminated around a custom steel core and the whole piece is perched atop a complimentary sunburst pedestal.
