Day in the Life: Journal of Fine Craft
Welcome to Day in the Life: Journal of Fine Craft. Our goal is to celebrate and educate about fine-craft forms, artists, and materials, in an aesthetically-pleasing way; and we aim to lay an introductory groundwork (think “What is Glassblowing?”) in each discipline, upon which over time we will layer interviews with artists, studio visits, “making-of” vignettes, and more.
In other words, our content will be aimed initially at the curious non-expert, but we encourage anyone to join us over time as a community in growing, learning and celebrating this work and these people who have dedicated their lives to these endeavors. We encourage you to contact us with questions, ideas for content, and more; and eventually, we will develop a program to solicit submissions from artists, writers, and photographers around the world.
Finally, we hope to produce an elegant printed book each year, highlighting our favorite images and stories from the year.
Thank you, from our small team here and from the artists with whom we work, for your time, your engagement, and the warm encouragement we have already received from many of you for this new endeavor.
